We are looking for an experienced Field Deployment engineer to join our team in Dallas to support one of top clients in the Bay area. The engineer will directly work with developers and QA and will be responsible for deploy robot to field, including preparation and post activities.


This is a full-time, long term benefited position with competitive compensation.


  • Targeted deployment site preparation
    • Site survey (getting maps, deciding on docking locations, creating routes)
    • Preparing/maintaining installation toolkit
    • Point-of-Contact liaison for site requirements like badges, moving equipment.
  • Robot Preparation
    • Initializing robot and configurate backend support system
    • Creating, capturing and archiving robot configuration data
    • End-of-line testing to verify shipping hardware
    • Burn-in testing to qualify field worthiness
    • Disassembly, preparing robot for shipping
  • Robot Installation
    • Travel to installation sites
    • On-site assembly, bringup, and functional verification
    • On-site operation verification
  • Post-deployment support
    • Point of Contact training
    • Collecting site data for developers
    • Review of Installation process for improvement
    • Customer support for Points of Contact with field problems



  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT
  • Experience of programing is a plus, like python, C++.
  • Experience of tools, like shell, GIT, ALM, Jira
  • Experience of Linux command line
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software / hardware configuration problems, and track source code.
  • Experience in robot relevant tasks is a plus
  • Can read source code and troubleshooting is a plus
  • Server room experience is a plus.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage continuously changing business needs; excellent time management skills required.
  • QA experience is a plus
  • 10%~25% travel is required.
