  • Overview

    The Warranty Data Analyst position will be part of a team focused on a warranty cost reduction. The data analysis and resulting reporting are used to track quality and warranty savings opportunities by Quality Program Managers. That team, along with the Analyst, evaluates warranty and call data, working to understand trends and to target cost-saving opportunities, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and reducing warranty-related costs.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in quality meetings and activities to better prepare for NPI (new product introduction) call analysis.
    • Analyze and code customer call cases prior to onsite service events for printer and printer-related products after initial product release.
    • Analyze and code CSO (onsite service data) cases as they relate to the impact on warranty costs, product quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Perform analysis of service intervention case data and provide a more detailed view of actions resulting from support/service request calls, as well as more accurate costing data.
    • Provide summary level analysis of customer-based warranty case data to identify top issues that are responsible for case/intervention initiation that drive warranty costs.
    • Provide additional targeted analysis and reporting as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Experience:
      • Knowledge of commercial printers, especially HP printer products desired.
      • Knowledge of customer support practices. (Call center and/or field)
    • Skills:
      • Microsoft Excel knowledge - specifically working with queries, pivot tables/charts, and data manipulation.
      • The ability to discern patterns and themes in large sets of data and convey those to management.
      • Strong attention to detail and passion for accuracy.
      • The ability to work collaboratively with team members to improve uniformity of assigning case diagnosis.
