Monitors the status of business systems including AS 400, VAX, UNIX and NT platforms. Resolves problems related to connectivity, printers, servers and file transfers. If necessary, escalates problems to the next level. Monitors scheduled batch jobs and coordinates with other support groups within the company for resolving issues. Provides 24x7 support on moderately complex systems. Skills required are:
Degrees or certifications required: Prefer candidates with Bachelor’s degree, but will consider candidates without, experience over degree
Best vs. average: Flexibility and ability to do troubleshooting (systems administrator) Windows back end/Azure troubleshooting. Log files. Be able to do the simple coding. Mix of Perl, python, SQl)
