    Create and edit test, and tools design docs for features owned - reading, and reviewing specification and design docs.  Send test and tools design docs to the Microsoft team to be reviewed and signed off by Dev & PM.  Follow all coding guidelines and review procedures.  Define test passes required for testing feature and product changes.  Add or edit tests to match the expected behavior in the application being tested.  Create, edit, and maintain test automation for the projects involved.  Use existing tools and technologies to build and maintain automation to increase test efficiency.  Research and follow-up, if required, to successfully write automation that runs on supported platforms.  Execute tests manually and via automation on supported platforms.  Provide documentation for all tools/automation created.  Investigate automation/tools failures and run failing automation cases manually.  Update automation and tools as required. Create/edit and regress bugs while testing features owned.  Provide required info in bugs and follow-up as necessary to investigate, regress and close bugs. Investigate live product issues and provide repro steps for the issue.


    Special Requirements:


    Coding including C++, SQL; Atlas, Argus, TReX; debugging including KDBG, WDBG; working through a full product cycle; Microsoft Windows OS; Microsoft VSTS; Microsoft Teams; and Automated testing tools and frameworks.

    Skills may be gained through academic coursework and concurrently while pursuing academic studies.




    Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
