Overview

Based in Bellevue, WA, Beyondsoft has a growing data science consulting practice centered around BeyondLearning, our Machine Learning as a Service. We work in partnership with our diverse customers - from small startups to Fortune 500 enterprises - to bring data science and machine learning to their data and analytics practice. We are platform agnostic, building scalable solutions across all cloud platforms, and are at the cutting-edge of predictive analytics.

We are seeking a creative, collaborative, adaptable data scientist to join our agile team of highly-skilled developers, data scientists and project managers. You will be responsible for all aspects of consulting engagements: in-person client meetings; understanding, and achieving, the business goals for the Machine Learning project; integration of custom APIs and self-service analytical dashboards into the data workflow; building custom data science visualizations; and building our presence (and brand-awareness) in the Pacific NW data science community.

You know when to use supervised vs. unsupervised vs. reinforcement vs. other types of machine learning models, have experience in deep learning (neural networks), understand and build applications with ML frameworks (such as scikit-learn, Caret, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, H2O) and also be able to code directly in Python or R to bootstrap new solutions.

  • You know the techniques to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • You desire working in a dynamic, agile environment in a small team with often rapid turn-around times
  • You have a desire to learn new technologies on the job and grow your skills and career
  • You know when to put in the extra time to complete the project
  • You are comfortable working directly with sales and delivery teams

Qualifications

  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physical Sciences or a related technical field
  • A proven track record of data analysis
  • At least 5-years experience using statistics and analytics to tackle complex problems
  • 2 - 3 years coding experience in Python and/or R
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Ability to extract and transform data from various sources (SQL, CSV/TSV, JSON)
  • Ability to write production-quality code utilizing knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • A proven understanding of services offered by Azure, AWS or GCP, and how to use them for maximum value
  • Ability to collaboratively multitask across projects and problems
  • Working knowledge of self-service Business Analytics applications (eg. Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package

  • Competitive 401K matching
  • Early-stage company experience
  • Flexible schedule
  • Collaborative team support and professional growth strategy
  • Transparency and high integrity
