Microsoft Bot Framework Team, part of the Artificial Intelligence & Research group at Microsoft, is looking for a strong SDE3 / Technical PM with Coding and Dev opp skills and experience.  Role is Hybrid role. 

SDE3 with some good writing skills and PM skills OR A Technical PM with some good coding skills.

Job description

Conversational Applications and AI are changing how we get information, how we interact with brands, and how we are productive. The Azure Bot Service team in AI & R division is looking for a Technical Program Manager who can take a key role in this transformation.

You will partner closely with our engineering, design, field and marketing teams to understand our customers and their vision and help translate that into execution plans that include not just the Bot Service team but partner teams that provide chat channels, Cognitive Services, and teams building conversational AI’s within the company. Our team has people from a wide variety of backgrounds, previous work histories, and life experiences, and we are eager to maintain and grow that diversity. Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build bots using our tools that we can use as reference architectures or in some event demos
  • Prepare material and statistics for executive reviews
  • Write technical blogs related to our offering
  • Drive communication with internal teams
  • Collaborating with marketing, field, evangelism and other teams to connect with and make our customers build Azure based systems of intelligence.

Qualifications

 

Basic Requirements:

  • BS degree; Computer Science or engineering or 4+ years of program management experience.

Highly desirable:

  • 4+ years of experience in program or product management
  • Strong coding skills with web development/cloud technologies
  • exceptional ability to negotiate and collaborate across groups to achieve customer success
  • extreme customer focus with past experience working with customers
  • strong self-drive to learn and build new skills rapidly

4+ years of experience in program or product management and experience as SDE as well.  See above for full JD details.  HYBRID role – SDE / Tech PM. 

Having Azure is a plus for this role, but not required.

Degree is nice to have but not required. Experience over education for this role.

MSFT experience is also a plus, but not 100% required.  Have degree and previous MSFT experience, would make them a stronger candidate for consideration

Best candidate will have all of the required skills and average candidate will have some but not all. 

We will measure performance based on how well they are developing the doe to our milestones. Also will consider how well they work with others and communicate the issues.

Strong coding skills with web development/cloud technologies.  Prefer C#, and JavaScript, but open on the specific coding skills.
