The Corporate Development Director will be a key contributor to Beyondsoft’s Corporate Development team, primarily responsible for identifying strategic growth opportunities, acquisition sourcing, diligence and execution efforts. You will work closely with executive team to understand Beyondsoft strategy, and to influence development of future strategy.
You will also work closely with multiple departments within the organization to identify and evaluate acquisition, investment and partnership opportunities.

The Corporate Development Director will create and manage a pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities across Beyondsoft business.The ideal candidate will bring both business and technical skill sets – quantitative and analytical, intellectually curious, along with dedication to detail, accuracy and efficiency. This is a critical business role within the company with high visibility across the Executive Team.

  • Analyze markets and the participants within those markets to identify strategic growth opportunities for Beyondsoft
  • Lead sourcing and evaluation of potential acquisitions in priority search areas. Build and manage a pipeline of targets
  • Research potential acquisition targets, investment opportunities, and partners and conduct in-depth company research to uncover risks and opportunities, including analysis for strategic (technology, product and market) and financial fit with Beyondsoft strategy
  • Build relationships with internal and external sources of acquisition ideas.
  • Manage M&A pipeline data and prepare pipeline reports
  • Lead and / or participate in acquisition and investment due diligence processes, managing cross-functional teams and external advisors

Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (business, Finance, Law major preferred); MBA preferred
  • Ideal candidates will likely be in a senior level Corporate Development role in a tech-related company
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining an effective dialog with internal audiences as well as Management Teams and Boards of Directors. Ability to create and ensure highly accurate Management Presentations and Board materials.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with a persistent attention to detail and problem-solving mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong technical and business acumen and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong cross-functional relationships
  • Able to earn trust and to influence and motivate without authority
  • Ability to travel mostly domestically,  up to 40% of time

-This role has flexibility in location but ideally would be in West Coast or Texas
