We are looking for an exceptional Senior Cloud Engineer to help lead the strategic direction and roadmaps related to IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) architecture. In this role you will participate in, support, and direct the engineering efforts for both the customer-facing and the infrastructure technologies. You will also be responsible for serving as the subject-matter expert - mentoring, training, and leading fellow team members and peers through the design and implementation decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, recommend, and implement architectural roadmaps for Cloud based systems.
  • Create and implement automation for cloud platforms, processes, and best practices to be used by other teams to increase productivity.
  • Design, implement, and maintain server, storage, network, and security infrastructure, as well as disaster recovery and business continuity architecture.
  • Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards.
  • Design and maintain the customer facing corporate global data center technologies with a focus on cloud-based systems.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, resolve configuration and other non-software related issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of enterprise infrastructure design and implementation experience
  • Expertise in web applications/middleware (JBoss, WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, Nginx) and databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis)
  • Network architecture experience including load-balancing, DNS, BGP, VPNs, and data centers
  • Expertise in storage design, disaster recovery, security, firewalls, encryption
  • Virtualization technology experience (VMware preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services); certifications a plus
  • Red Hat Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting system monitoring infrastructure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Bilingual in Japanese or Chinese preferred, but not required
